My daughter and I enjoyed a fascinating walking tour of the Rocks on our recent trip to Sydney. The guide was pleasant and informative and helped us to discover some of the fascinating early history of Sydney. The days of the convicts and early settlers, and even the outbreak of plague around 1900, were all brought to life. Very atmospheric... more

We walked to the rocks area for look around and found the markets were lovely. We managed to pick a few bits up for souvenirs and presents. It was so clean and todi and everyone was so friendly. We stopped for lunch here and had a lovely afternoon wandering around. Worth a meander. more

If you want touristy souveniers or some truely wonderful memories of sydney these are the markets, they are run on weekends during summer (maybe other months too) and are almost right under the harbour bridge. the rocks in general are a wonderful place to get lost in, lots of small laneways with cobblestones and ssandstone walls. there are some great... more
