We stayed in this hotel for three nights from 27th December 08 and would definitely recommend it. We arrived in Dublin at 9am and made our way to the hotel to leave our bags until we could check in - the sign on the door said the hotel was closed for Christmas and would reopen at 12pm - we had... more

Stayed for three nights in October 2008. The Maldron is a fairly ordinary city hotel (Comfort Inn) that is at the top of O’Connell Street, adjacent to the Hospital. The room is of a good quality, comfortable bed, decent size and a standard bathroom. The rooms have been recently redecorated, quiet and with a good sized hall window. Breakfast was... more

My boyfriend and I stayed here in April of 2008. I think the hotel was still quite new, or in the finishing stages, as there was some minor construction still going on. It wasn't a big deal for us, though, since we were in Dublin as tourists and wouldn't be in the room during the day. This is a very... more

We arrived on New Years Eve checking in around 12pm. As I had requested a quiet room upon booking, our room wasnt available to 3pm (although they did offer us another room if we wanted to check in sooner). We decided to wait and the hotel kindly looked after our luggage whilst we went out. I couldnt fault the hotel... more

Nice, clean hotel within walking distance of the centre of the city. We were on the top floor and traffic noise was quite considerable so I think it could be pretty noisy if you were in a lower room. Staff were pleasant and efficient. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a 'holiday inn' type place and... more

Despite reading a couple of negative reviews on the hotel before we travelled, I had nothing to worry about when we arrived. It is only 5mins walk from the top of O'Connell Street where the airlink bus 747 drops off and is quite easy to find. The hotel has recently been refurbished with the rooms spacious, clean and comfortable and without... more

Terrific welcome from the receptionist who went the extra mile in helping make taxi and other arrangements. We had a larger room, which was very well fitted and clean. The buffet breakfast was efficient and fresh. Great value for the fairly low price. more

We stayed at this Hotel for 2 nights in December this year. It is relatively easy to find and fairly well situated for the shops in Dublin. However, it is on an EXTREMELY busy road which is virtually impossible to cross and with a pretty seedy pub directly opposite although having said that it was mostly quiet for the 2... more

I cannot believe this hotel is getting such positive reviews. It was the worst experience I have ever had. I stayed for just one night (thankfully). Positives: Lovely room - we stayed in a twin and it was clean & spacious, with tea/coffee faciltites, comfy beds, nice bathroom Staff are very obliging and just decent people who are probably not... more
