All you could ask from a business hotel. Large room, large bathroom, quality service etc but you really do have to pay for it. A burger and Coke came to 41 GBP and the Kit Kat from the mini bar was 7GBP. I know the pound has plummeted but that's expensive even with the company's money! All else made for... more

Despite the fact that we asked for a higher floor room, at the end of the corridor away from the lifts, we were located right next to the room service on 5th floor, room 548. Although the room was very good, we had 2 nights of disturbed sleep. Consequently we moved on 3rd night but we really should have complained... more

We stayed at the Westin Palace Hotel in Madrid from December 5th to December 8th. We booked the room through Hotwire for 125.00 Euros per night. Upon checking in, we were informed that we were not entitled to a room with either a king size bed or two twin beds. We therefore had to pay an additional 50.00 Euros per... more

Stayed here for 4 nights in a regular room double occupancy. Absolutely top class hotel with extremely high standards of housekeeping and attention. Staff are helpful and totally efficient without at any time being condescending or distant. The central lobby - the Rotunda - is a great place to watch the world go by - a big space but oddly... more

LOCATION: Excellent!!! Perfectly situated in the middle of the city. We explored everything on foot. Prado is a 5 minute walk, Palacio Real was about 30 minutes on foot, and Parque del Retiro is 10 minutes on foot. HOTEL: Luxurious atmosphere, though parts of the hotel could use and upgrade. Very large hotel. ROOM: Got upgraded to a newly renovated... more

Just spend 5 days at the Palace in Madrid. During the day there was hammering from construction, which was a nuisance. Insulation of the walls is bad, one can hear the next room neighbours talk (or the TV sound). I got a "Premium Room" through the Starwood Member Program, but since this room was located at the 6th floor with... more

I stayed at the Westin Palace for three days in late October, 2008. If coming from Madrid airport, just tell the driver "Palace Hotel" (as they probably won't recognize the brand name "Westin", and the hotel was previously a Sheraton in years past). Our taxi fare was 23 euros. Good: You are in the heart of cultural Madrid, across the... more

We stayed here fom October 29th to November 3rd in a lovely very spacious junior suite on the renovated 6th floor. The concierge staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, especially Aurelia, Ricardo, and Eline. We were Starwood guests on points. We highly recommend staying at the Palace and would love to return, especially if we didn't have to... more

The location is perfect. Walking distance to everywhere. The staff was very helpful. Ask for a renovated room. I’ve stayed on the 4th floor in a renovated room and everything was just prefect. The Gym is nice and open 24 hours. You can definitely impress locals by staying you are staying at the Palace Hotel.. more

The main attraction points are the location and the very nice building, entrance hall, bar, and so on.It is focusing on business clients, without any personal touch. Rooms are standard,ok but no immagination. You could be in whatever city ot the world. Rates are expensive but normal for the quality you get. Very good breakfast and friendly staff. WI-FI is not for... more
