Location of the hotel is great, only 5 mins walk from San Marco and Riarto, although a bit difficult to find it. (I found it following specific instructions from other traveler reviews). Venice is trully in your feet. Hotel is vey old, rooms are very small, although clean enough. The worst thing was a bad smell coming from the nearby... more

I booked Città di Milano from the internet, Venere.it, exactly. In fact, it was in the city center, right behind Piazza San Marco. First surprise, it had a terrible access. And was really hard to find. Once in there, it was less than a youth hostel priced as a three star hotel! Dirty, dark, cold, (in march it gets kind... more

Puzzled at some of the other reviews; it's as if we're discussing two different properties. Citta di Milano is pretty basic, but has a great location, is clean, and we found the breakfast perfectly adequate--not hearty, but well beyond minimal Continental standard--and the breakfast room is actually staffed by a pleasant woman who makes coffee to order. Our room had... more

I was very uncertain about booking this hotel based on some of the reviews that I had read, but it worked out brilliantly. First of all, it's a simple hotel, so don't expect the Ritz. But, if you want a cheap place to stay, 2 mins from St Marks Square, clean, this is perfect. I paid €60 per night for... more

This is a small, low budget hotel right in the centre of Venice, 2min from St Marks & 5min from Rialto. It is very clean and the staff are friendly & helpful. The hotel is a bit difficult to find as it is in a small street off a square, but any of the local shops & bars will help... more

This hotel IS the worse that we have ever expieranced. A room that at best can be described as sparce. With the most horrendous stench of foul drains that without open windows made us sick. The "breakfast" consists of a converted bedroom, used to serve one type of cereal,a croissant and not alot else. The room door could be blown... more

How shall I describe this little gem-dump, crappy, all the charm of a motel that rents to prostitutes? Let's see-mosquitoes because there are no screens, paper thin doors and walls, confused staff, barely adequate breakfast, moldy bathroom, all Italia TV all day, toilet not bolted to floor, dim lighting, no lock on front door and no clerk after 11 p.m.,... more

I knew that our flight times would mean that we wouldnt be on venice Island until atleast 11.30 - 12 midnight so I called our contact at needahotel to check if this would be problem and was assured the hotel were aware and everything would be ok! Unfortunately there was a delay at the airport, due to hand luggage restrictions,... more

There is much better value for your money in Venice while affording you the same location (which is the ONLY thing this property has going for it). We had originally booked 3 nights here from May 6-9, but checked out immediately. When we arrived after a long day of travel we walked into our narrow, dark room to find two... more

Great location so close to St Marks. Very difficult to find, need to ask the local shop owners how to find it. Room on first floor very small. No chest of drawers, few hangers in the small wardrobe. Bathroom small, tiles needed cleaning between. Clean towels everyday. Children on 4th floor much bigger room, huge bathroom. Superb view down into... more
