Hotel Perseo has two overwhelming positives which outweigh the negatives which we also experienced. I'll get the negative stuff out of the way first. The entrance to the hotel is pretty grim and the reception is on the third floor. Lift can be slow and my GF said she felt a little uneasy taking the stairs at night. We were... more
The conceirge here was enormously helpful in making all the reservations for the museums here - including the Uffizi. You MUST make reservations during the season and the hotel (with a set of times we wanted to go where and alternates) did all this for us. We simply could not have gotten to all the places we wanted to without... more
My wife and I spend a few wonderful days at the end of September at Hotel Il Perseo. We discovered a refresingly intimate small hotel, tucked in between typical Florence shop facades and in earshot from the exuisite Duomo and all its wonderful sights and sounds. Cannot say enough good things about the Perseo and Louise! The hotel is new and the rooms are nicely appointed and a very good size. The staff took wonderful care of us, and were always ready to offer us advice and assistance. They had excellent dining recommendations. As others have noted, the hotel is within 50 meters of the Duomo... more
Just round the corner from the Duomo. Gluten free breakfast was a bonus. Laura on reception was so helpful and gave us great advice. She recommended a pizzeria that served amazing gluten free pizza. Rooms were comfortable, recently refurb'd, clean and quiet. more
This is one Hotel that had it all. It was easy to find, friendly staff, clean rooms, good breakfast and a sense of safety. more

The staff were all really lovely - sorted us out with bus tickets, restaurants etc and were just so friendly and helpful. The room was really quite big and the... more

In a city crowded with hotels, Il Perseo stands out with spectacular value and a location that can't be beat. I'm always dubious when a hotel advertises itself as centrally-located, but Il Perseo lives up to this claim. It is literally steps from the Duomo (on a busy thoroughfare, but that can't be helped) and within a short walking distance... more
