We "lived" a glorious week at Hotel Colomba in # 13 - a spacious room, lots of storage space, large window with shutters looking out on courtyard - when closed it was very quiet for sleeping but we liked to have it open so we could wake up listening to the church bells of the duomo and st marks as... more

Within 10 minutes of arriving in Florence by Terravision Coach from Pisa Airport I was separated (a Scotsman) from my wallet and its contents, a considerable amount of cash and several plastic cards so be warned. My loss was discovered when the Taxi dropped my wife and I at The Columba. Thank the Lord Roseanna, the lady of the house... more

My wife and I had just flown into Rome to find out our bags did not land with us. We were moving fast and hard through Italy in the early days of this trip so the less than reassuring, "Ehh, we'll find you at some point and deliver the bags in the next 3-5 days," from Alitalia a game killer.... more

Everything about this hotel was absolutely wonderful. We arrived for check in, Sabina gave us a detailed map of nearby restaurants and helped us get our bearings before turning us loose in Florence. Someone was always at the front desk to greet us as we returned, no matter the time of day or night. Our room was spotless and always... more

We stayed at this hotel, along with another couple, for 2 nights in July and had a very enjoyable stay. The location is excellent! We arrived in Florence via train and walked to the hotel - normally about a 15 minute walk. It took us a little longer as it was quite hot and humid out which slowed us down... more

My husband and I, my elderly parents, and another couple booked rooms at the Hotel Colomba for five nights in October, 2008. I stayed there with my daughter two years ago and knew I would go back if I ever had the chance to travel in Italy again. The hotel is close to the Medici-Riccardi Palace, the Duomo, the Accademia,... more

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Colomba for 3 nights during our stay in Florence. One of the highlights of staying here was Rosanna, who runs the hotel, and her family & staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful with everything! They gave us information on everything we asked about, and Rosanna also made ticket reservations for us at... more

We arrived in Florence a bit out of sorts but immediately Sabina put us at ease and gave us a warm Florence welcome! She provided us directions and tips to make our 4 day stay enjoyable including do the "David" at 8:15am then come back to the hotel for a lovely English breakfast, Sienna by bus and do-it-yourself tour, etc.... more

We stayed at Hotel Colomba for six days in early october, on our first ever trip to Italy. The hotel is perfectly located, within walking distance of the train station and all major points of interest. We had made a request for a quiet room, possibly with a view. Upon our arrival, Mrs.Rosanna showed us to our room on the... more
