This hotel really does not care about it's guests. That's the feeling I got on each of my four days at the hotel. FIRST AND FOREMOST -- IT'S NOT in a great area. It's across from the medical center -- so if that's your destination, great! But if you are hoping to walk to anything except some awful Chinese take-out... more

This hotel is well located and more than adequate for a Boston visitor. Hotel is within easy walking distance to downtown and the South End and is next door to the NE Medical Center T Station (Orange Line). Staff at the reception are very pleasant and the rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. Note that Tuft's hospital is just across... more

August 27,2008 Positive: The warm cookies as a welcome token, was nice and really good. The location was great and close to the historical attraction (15 minutes walk to Boston Common) Negatives: the hall to your room was so tightly close and unorganized that you tend to go the wrong way to your room or to the elevator. Their business... more

The Doubletree Boston Downtown was a delight. It was clean, had good service and a nice location. Two comments, not complaints; the concierge said it was a ten minute walk from the hotel to the Blue Line (T). It was a good 20 minute walk and I am fit! The Orange Line is right next door, but you would have... more

I enjoyed Boston, but I dislike having my car taken away and valet parked and being charged for it, I dislike being charged for wi-fi access, I dislike rooms with minibars that you can't use as a fridge, I dislike hotel chains that charge a lot, give you a cookie , then add charges for everything else, especially when it... more

Our stay here was very good. It was a very clean and tidy hotel with a comfortable bed, free internet, mini- bar, access to the YMCA gym and a decent size bathroom. The location was also good and was easy walking distance to Boston's main sites. The only downside was that the T.V had terrible reception, however, when you are... more

Overall, had a dissapointing experience at this hotel. I suppose I shouldn't expect too much from a Doubletree, but I've stayed in MUCH nicer doubletree's. First and foremost, the room seemed extremily loaded up with furniture and so was really cramped. Second, the lobby itself was just not very nice and was crammed in with a rather uninviting bar and... more

Hubby and I decided at the "last minute" to visit Boston for the 4th of July. We booked this hotel through lastminutetravel.com and got a good deal. The hotel is conveniently located on the edge of Boston's Chinatown and we were able to walk from there to the Commons and many parts of the city (being from NYC, we're used... more

This Doubletree has a great location. It is located just on the border of China Town. The T station (Orange Line) is located right next door. It is an easy walk to the Commons or to the Back Bay area. Just returned from our second stay here. When we stayed here two years ago I was amazed by how friendly... more

I stayed at Doubletree Boston - Downtown from 22 May to 24 May. I was travelling with friends and we reserved two rooms in total. The location of the hotel is quite central, it's just about one block away from Chinatown and about 3-4 blocks away from South Station, which is a major station for buses such as Greyhound, Coach... more
