After a frustrating search in an expensive city for a hotel that met my daily allowance for work travel, I found this hotel at the last minute, perhaps a cancellation in a sea of $600/night prices (some sort of convention in town). It was small, friendly, clean, and the attention to detail was wonderful after such a long day... my... more

We drove to Boston so parking was a bit of a problem. You have to park in a parking station about a 10 minute walk away. The hotel is on a busy road so there was no available parking spaces in any block near the hotel, let alone in front of the hotel and you can't double park to drop... more

I took this hotel on a recommendation via the Tripadvisor forum. The stay was booked a few months ago, just before the credit crisis was in full blown mode, so at the time I thought my successful bartering of a $15 discount on a queen room was a coup. Maybe the way things are $149 a night might get you... more

The Charlesmark is a fresh, funky little boutique hotel in a fabulous location. Easy walk to Boston Common and the Prudential Centre. Although my room was small, it was cosy (perfect on a snowy stay in Boston), had nice lighting, comfy bed, modern furnishings, a CD stacker and piped music!! The bar / lounge downstairs is trendy and has free... more

Small room (despite higher price) but very well designed and with large bathroom. Self service breakfast boring and hardly worth bothering with. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Great situation in Copley Square with excellent access to T (underground) but view of airconditioning units not great. more

We stayed at the Charlesmark for 3 nights, thanks to Trip Advisor reviews. Really loved this hotel - lovely decor, fantastic location on Boyleston (at Copley), really nice bar area and free internet in the lobby. Nice food next door - Bangkok Blue - and there are lots of other bars and restaurants nearby. Walking distance to all the sights... more

My husband and I had a pleasant stay at the Charlesmark. It is excellent value for money and the staff were helpful and friendly. There are several good restaurants nearby and the discounted rate on parking is very handy! The rooms are small even by European standards but they are confortable and well designed. We needed our laundry done during... more

I've just come back from a 4 night stay at the Charlesmark and I wasn't too impressed. The location is great and its ok value for money. It was also good to have internet access and lots of movies. However the bedrooms are pretty small and the beds are tiny. They are so short and narrow it wasn't very comfortable... more

Boston seems to be a city where hotels are shockingly expensive, so the Charlesmark represented good value for a hotel which was in walking distance of all the major sites. Clean efficient, friendly, well-designed, and serving a welcome buffet breakfast, this was a good choice for us. more

We have just returned from a week's holiday in Boston and stayed at the Charlesmark throughout. Having read the reviews on here we requested a Queen room on the 6th floor. This was perfect for our needs, we overlooked the Boston Public Library and the marathon finishing line. There was no noticeable noise and we were certainly not disturbed by... more
