I stayed for 4 nights with my wife and 1 year old over the new year holiday for vacation. I found a very good price on the hotel website by advance purchase, also when compared to other hotels with similar star rating and amenities. Upon check-in, they give you a delicious warm chocolate chip cookie, which is a nice welcome... more

If you read my other reviews you will see we visited the Intercontinental in San Francisco and the Palm Place in Las Vegas before reaching The Double Tree, Mission Valley in San Diego. On first impression when we entered the hotel we felt slightly let down as it seemed somewhat dated however we had just stayed in 2 spanking new... more

This property has recently gone through an extensive renovation. They also left yummy choclate chip cookies in the room. The service was also really great. We visited Sea World and downtown San Diego and the location turned out to be great. Highly recommend this place and it felt like I was staying at the W. Alpa Patel more

This was my second time staying in this hotel. The first time was about 5 years ago. They have since remodeled. They have added flat screen televisions and bunk beds in what they call their family suite. The first room I was assigned was right next to an ice machine and had only one t.v. Since I was traveling with... more

We booked on Hotwire, which even states that hotels may have parking fees (in fine print). What disgusted us was you don't get what you pay for. We were charged an additional $15 a night for cramped parking. (See photo) These parking spots were narrow even for compact cars. There was a wedding one night and no parking spots were... more

Stayed at the Doubletree San Diego Mission Valley for three nights for a business trip (October 14-17, 2008). My room was really roomy and nice. I was also given access to the concierge level upon check in which was appreciated- complimentary breakfast and beverages. The bar area was good for drinks with co-workers. The food was so-so. I didn't rent... more

On arrival you get a warm choc chip cookie - and you love the hotel already. The rooms were large a clean and we were on the 11 floor which gets you the breaky everyday. The lady in charge of that was lovely and made you feel very welcome. The exit at the 2nd floor gets you to the hazard... more

I stayed here based on the reviews and a decent AAA rate. The front desk person was great, bell staff was great. Beds were great. A/C did not work, but 10 minutes after one phone call it was fixed. I asked to stay on the quite side, away from the highway but beware of nightlife nose and the beeps of... more

We stayed here for a few nights in August and have no complaints. It is a standard business hotel, so nothing really thrilling about it, but nothing bad either. Rooms are nice enough size, with a sofa and small desk. Bathrooms are fine (once I figured out that the water wasn't running out because the drain cover was on, which... more

We'd booked the room two months ago through their own website and received a confirmation e-mail a week before. None of that mattered. They overbooked, didn't have a room for us (but did check in the people behind us), and sent us to a hotel a 20-minute drive out of town. No room service, no indoor pool, tiny room with... more
