My wife, son (12 years old) and I stayed at the Millenium Hilton a few days before New Year's Eve. The purpose of the trip was to catch some shows, shop and see the sights. We purposely chose to stay away from midtown and the Times Square areas. The Millenium was at a great location to get away from the... more

stayed there during an expensive time, between christmas and new years...got an ok deal thru priceline...would have preferred times square or midtown west, but felt this area was fine. I arrived at 9pm from a long day of flying...sarah at the front desk checked us in, friendly enough, but given a dreaded 'priceline' room...i asked for 2 double beds and... more

The location of this Hilton hotel is very good, if you are looking to spend time in the lower part of Manhattan. Its just opposite to the World Trade Center work area, and yes, it does sound even up to the 50th floor, but if you are bothered or not, I cannot answer. Its just around the corner from Wall... more

This hotel is okay but very austere. But the thing I would want others to know is that the rooms overlook the former World Trade Center so if looking out at the site of a massacre of 3,000 people is a downer for you, maybe try another hotel. Restaurant is grossly overpriced and inefficient if polite service. Small rooms but... more

We love the hotel for being in Financial/ lower Manhattan which, although not busy on the weekends, is very handy for Newark arrivals, next door to discount shopping Mecca Century 21. It's also right by the 5/6 subway and walking distance to the 4. On a nice day, it's an easy walk to Chinatown, Little Italy, Bowery and Tribeca On... more

This is an excellent hotel, with large rooms (by NYC standards) and excellent views. The location is excellent (subway stop right outside the hotel entrance) and next to Ground Zero as others have noted. The construction noise was not an issue- I did notice that the cranes were working early Sunday morning when I looked out of our window, but... more

There are some positives about this hotel... The location is great (out of the way but well connected to the subway/mass transit), the rooms are a good size, and the view is incredible. However, we experienced a number of problems which made the stay almost unsatisfactory. First of all, we came in and wanted to check out the refrigerator... but... more

Great location for business downtown. The rooms are quite large for NY and the bathroom is modern. The best part was that we had a spare afternoon before the flight and the concierge was able to suggest the perfect tour so that I finally managed to see some of NY. Gym is brand new and quite well equiped for a... more

Loved it!!! Clean, comfy, spacious, relatively close to dining, shopping, etc.; yet not so close to Times Square, Central Park, etc. Otherwise, no hidden fees, no over-billing, no problems. The noise from the construction at Ground Zero was not insupportable either, they did offer earplugs and told us that we could request what they called a "sleep machine" were we to have... more
