The Hotel was very nice, large room with queen size beds, great for a family stay. It is only about 2 blocks from the beach. All types of things to do and see in the area that are within walking distance. Price was great. It is an older hotel but with great character and class. The staff was always helpful... more

We had no problem finding this hotel since it's in the middle of downtown Waikiki with our GPS. Without one, it would have definitely been a bit more difficult. Parking is terrible, they have a garage but you have to pay $20/day for it. The rooms are beautiful, the beds are very comfortable. That's always a problem I've had and... more

Conveniently located in Waikiki. Can be very noisy at night! A bit outdated too. Overall, nothing special for what you pay. I guess I would try another hotel if I had to get back to Waikiki (which I guess is unlikely :-). more

I don't know if we just got lucky - but we booked at the Waikiki wave for 3 nights in Honolulu and had a wonderful stay. We booked a corner room and it was massive. Two queen sized beds (of which we only used one), internet, two balconies looking out toward the mountains. The hotel is back from the beach,... more

After much agonizing and some so-so reviews we finally booked the Aqua Waikiki Wave for our New Year Holiday getaway, We arrived around noon and had to wait for check in for a couple of hours, and wondered if this might be an ominous warning for our whole stay. This was the last time we had a bit of discomfort.... more

The title says it all, this is the letter I sent to management: "To Whom It May Concern: I am writing regarding my recent stay at the Aqua Waikiki Wave Resort from 12/15/08-12/21/08. My fiancé and I stayed in room #319. Starting on day 4 of our stay, I developed an itchy rash that involved my right leg, my left... more

Aloha Iwlin77, Although challenging, we thank you for your review of the Waikiki Wave. I have also received your email regarding your recent stay and your experience with bug bites. I understand that you stayed at the Waikiki Wave from 12/15-12/21 and stayed elsewhere until you got home on 12/29 when you visited your doctor. On 12/30, we received your...

I stayed at the Aqua Waikiki Wave for two weeks in December '08. I had never been to Hawaii before, so wasn't sure what to expect - I was pleasantly surprised! For the amount of money I paid, I feel I received excellent value: the hotel was in a great location (just a block from prime beach area, near the... more

I stayed at this hotel with my son and husband for five days. Our first night was Monday and we couldn't sleep due to the night club next door (Zanzabar). Tuesday and Wednesday was fine, just traffic noise. On Thursday ,however the prostitutes and night club promoters started working the streets. There are (2) night clubs on both sides of... more

My wife and I just returned from a week in Waikiki. I was there on business and my wife came along to enjoy Oahu. In spite of the fact that it rained the entire week we were there, to the point that the Red Cross was called in on the North Shore to help families who lost everything, we had... more

This hotel was pretty cheap and was a great find for the price. My room was comfy, the housekeeping service was excellent. There was a business centre I could use for internet and printing etc, a nice little gym and overall the staff were always very helpful and accomodating. I had no problems whatsoever with this hotel and would recommend... more
